⬤LactaCare

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

LactaCare ("the App") provides general educational information about breastfeeding and lactation. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.

1. No Account Required

LactaCare does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the App. You can use all features anonymously.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App saves a small amount of data locally in your browser or device storage only, so your preferences persist between visits. This includes:

  • Your selected language (English/Arabic)
  • Your onboarding profile selection (e.g. first-time mother, experienced mother, healthcare provider)
  • Bookmarked/saved sections
  • Your progress on the antenatal learning checklist

This data is never transmitted to, or stored on, any server or database operated by us or any third party. It stays entirely on your own device. If you clear your browser data, switch devices, or uninstall the App, this information is permanently lost and cannot be recovered by us, because we never had access to it.

3. Analytics

We use basic, aggregate website analytics (visit counts, page views, general traffic patterns) to understand how the App is used and to improve it. This data is anonymized and aggregated — it is not linked to any individual user or used to build a profile of you. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share any data with advertisers.

4. Medication and Health Information Features

LactaCare includes a medication-lookup feature based on LactMed, a database maintained by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (part of the National Institutes of Health). This feature is provided for general educational reference only. Any searches you perform using this feature are not stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere by us.

LactaCare is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. The App's content is for general educational purposes only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified lactation consultant, pediatrician, or physician for guidance specific to your situation.

5. Children's Privacy

LactaCare is intended for use by adults (parents, caregivers, and healthcare providers) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
